Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take to receive my order?
If the item(s) are in stock, they will be mailed within 3 – 5 business days (usually within a day or two). If the item(s) are on back order, it can take up to 2 – 4 weeks before they go out, due to awaiting the next print run. Currently, t-shirts are printed in limited batches to keep prices affordable, while enabling me to donate to animal sanctuaries without losing money. If I do not have your order in stock, you will be notified via email.
What is your return policy?
If there is any kind of printing problem or merchandise defect, I will send a replacement or refund your money. All orders are inspected prior to being sent out, so hopefully this won’t happen!
Jewelry and accessories are final sale.
Unworn and unused shirts may be exchanged for a different size within 2 weeks from the original ship date, provided that the desired replacement is in stock. If item is not in stock, alternate arrangements will be made. Custom and wholesale orders are final sale, unless they are defective, as explained above.
Prior to ANY exchange, buyer must contact Dirty Snouts (firstname.lastname@example.org) to make arrangements for replacement of the item(s). Any merchandise sent back without having made prior arrangements can not be guaranteed a replacement.
Shipping and insurance charges from the original order are not refundable. Buyer is responsible for the costs to return the merchandise, as well as cover the shipping and insurance costs (if applicable) of the replacement merchandise.
Any merchandise being exchanged must be in its original condition – unworn and unused. It should be carefully packed and sent back to Dirty Snouts using a trackable delivery service.
How much are shipping costs?
Shipping costs are based on items purchased, with $5.00 per t-shirt and $3.00 per jewelry or accessory item. Shipping is FREE on purchases of $100.00 or more.
Do you ship outside the U.S.?
I currently ship to the 48 continental states. If you are located elsewhere and want to order a minimum of 10 pieces, please email email@example.com with your details and I will try to make it happen!
What shipping method do you use?
I ship USPS Priority or First Class mail and packages usually take 2 – 5 days to get to their destination. Once your item goes out, you’ll get a tracking number via email. Rush shipping can be purchased for an additional cost. Email info@dirtysnouts if this is of interest to you.
Can I purchase Dirty Snouts™ merchandise in stores?
No, I sell primarily through this website and am in the process of setting up sales through animal sanctuaries.
What does “Ten percent of direct sales are donated to farm animal sanctuaries” mean?
Right now, I’m able to donate 10% of sales proceeds of all merchandise sold directly from my website to animal sanctuaries. Hopefully, I can give more in the future!
Which sanctuaries do you donate to?
All donation recipients are U.S. based, 501(c)3 non-profit organizations helping farmed animals in need. Sanctuary recipients are posted below as well as on social media, so you’ll know exactly who you are helping whenever you make a purchase. Feel free to let me know of any organizations you recommend and I will keep them in mind for future donations. If you buy today, proceeds from your order will benefit: Heartland Farm Sanctuary. Please check them out and see all the great work they’re doing.
Do you do custom orders? How do I order wholesale (for my animal sanctuary)?
Dirty Snouts™ shirts make great souvenirs for animal sanctuary visitors! Additionally, they serve as inspirational and thought provoking gear for sanctuary volunteers or staff, while
providing uniformity amongst your team.
Shirts can be purchased as is or be customized with your sanctuary’s name (minimum quantity of 24 shirts), for an additional charge. I can also print on specific shirt colors that may not be featured on the website. If any of this is of interest to you, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with your details. I’d love to chat with you about how we can spread positive messages together.
Are your designs original?
Yes! All creations are original works designed by me. They are the property of Dirty Snouts™ and may not be copied or reproduced without written permission.
How are you eco-friendly?
– Adult sizes: Made by Bella + Canvas which does not use sweatshops and whose facilities are W.R.A.P. (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certified by independent third parties.
– Youth sizes: Anvil, now owned by Gildan, has a number of systems in place to reduce their impact on the environment, including sustainable growing methods and various accreditations such as Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and W.R.A.P (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certification by third parties in ten of their sewing facilities.
In the future, I hope to offer recycled material or organic cotton options. If you are placing an order over 24 pieces and want pricing for recycled or organic cotton, please email email@example.com for an estimate.
GARMENT PRINTING: Most shirts are printed by hand in Wisconsin, where I can support local businesses. Those not printed locally are printed elsewhere in the U.S. with water-based inks.
LITERATURE: Information that’s included with every Dirty Snouts™ purchase is printed with soy-based inks on 50% recycled, 30% post-consumer waste paper and is processed chlorine free.
Are there any special washing instructions for your t-shirts?
For best results, machine wash shirts inside out with like colors in cold water. Hang dry for the most eco-friendly option or tumble dry on low heat. Do not iron printed areas.
Where is your merchandise made/printed?
All shirts are printed in the U.S. – mostly in Madison, Wisconsin, enabling me to support local businesses. I also create my jewelry and embroidery locally, and I source as much material as I can from domestic manufacturers.
