I hope you’ll consider meeting animals that you perhaps never thought of as more than food. One great way to do this is to visit a farm animal sanctuary. Here’s a link to some, but not all, sanctuaries to help get you started. You might also want to search a “microsanctuary” in your area.

There’s a good chance that you’ll be surprised at the personalities that cows, pigs, chickens, lambs, turkeys and other animals have. And if you have the opportunity to get to know any of these 2 and 4 legged pals by spending extended periods of time with them, you will really be in for a treat!
