If everyone could see firsthand how unique and incredible farmed animals like Opal are, observing their personalities, their friendships and their moods, they might rethink what — or rather, who — they eat.
I regularly spend time with pigs, goats, chickens and other “food” animals, at Heartland Farm Sanctuary. And I never tire of watching, photographing and interacting with them.
To celebrate my 2 and 4 legged friends and give you some insight into who these colorful characters are, I have enlarged some of my favorite photos and printed a very limited edition of them onto 8″ x 8″ canvases.
By capturing these animals simply being themselves in environments where they feel safe and loved, I hope to give you a glimpse into their world and inspire you to see that they don’t belong on plates.
Hang Opal alone or with some of her pals, because goats get very lonely if they don’t have their friends or family around. If you can’t get enough of Opal, this canvas looks great paired with the photo of Opal on the roof.
